Biography
After releasing an EP every month of 2022, Si toured non-stop, including tour supports with Ocean Colour Scene and Dexy's Midnight Runners, and is set to release a staggering five studio albums during 2023.
After years on the underground touring scene and major deals with Sony/RCA and EMI Publishing, Brighton based Singer-Songwriter Si Connelly released his long-awaited debut album ‘Youth War & Joy’ in 2016.
Produced by Brit-Award-winning Chris Potter (The Verve, Blur, The Rolling Stones) and Grammy-Award winning Producer Dom Morley (Adele, Amy Winehouse).
The albums lead track ‘Hurt You’ featured on hit ITV drama Monroe, and was also picked up by Coldplay, who backed Si’s vocal performance. Hurt You peaked at 19 on the UK iTunes chart, and the album went on to receive radio and television placement in many territories, including Radio 2 airplay and encouragement from Jonathon Ross in the UK.
After a successful crowd-funding campaign, 2017 saw the release of Si’s second album (double album) ‘Eject’ featuring multiple producers; Chris Potter (The Verve), Dom Morley (Amy Winehouse), Sam Williams (Supergrass), Bacon & Quarmby (KT Tunstall), Chenzo Townsend (James Blunt/Keane), Mike Crossey (Arctic Monkeys).
After airplay and tv coverage from 6 Music, Amazing Radio and BBC Introducing, BBC The One Show.
2022 saw Si touring extensively, including tour supports with Ocean Colour Scene and Dexy's Midnight Runners plus the release of Twelve EP's, released every month of 2022.
2023 has seen no let up in Si's prolific output, with the release of five albums throughout the year.
March 2023 saw the release of third album Jackals & Dogs, shortly followed by his forth album Nevertheless (June 2023).
The Big Blue, Si's fifth album released September 23, followed by his sixth album Change and closing out the year with his seventh Wedding Singer.
Si will be heading out on a UK tour 'Albums23' from October to December.
